Films in Germany
November 28, 2006<><>The films in Germany show the overall feeling that is going on at the time. Films were started as a form of expression of an artist to the world, and they have progressed in many different directions, including social and political commentary. All five of the films we have seen show the world in the way it was in a specific point in time. From the problems with the education system after World War I, up to the fall of the Berlin Wall and the effect that had on East Germans. The films that we have seen tell an important story that we would not know if we had not seen the film. The central theme in all the movies is emotion felt by those that are effected by the change in the world around them. Each character made a decision that affected the others, and that decision is the cause of the rest of the film. When a decision is for the best, it does not always start out looking that way. On the other side, when a decision is for the worst, it usually looks the best right afterward. With every action there is a consequence; sometimes good, and sometimes bad. It is important to always look to the future with every decision and decide if it is best for everyone involved.
